What a difference a year makes!

A year ago, almost to the day, I met this teeny tiny little newborn. She was one of the first in my studio, and she's still one of the most commented on newborns that I've done!

But, today, I got to meet with her again. And, Wow - what a difference a year makes!

I am going to shoot my very first wedding under Happy Duck for this couple in two weeks! I thought it would be nice to do an engagement session before hand to get to know each other. I'm so glad that we did! I love these shots, and I hope they'll be as happy with them as I am. I wish them happiness in their future, and look forward to the opportunity to photograph their wedding. :)

I met with this family last Saturday, and I love how every session still feels like a new experience. Even with two little ones, it wasn't that hard to get a few good shots with such a photogenic family. So, here are my favorites!

I met with this family today. They were super laid back and easy to work with. And, their little man is so cute! These are my first favorites after uploading their session to my computer for post production work. If I spent any more time looking through them, I think choosing favorites would be hard!

I met with this family today. Very laid back. Very Cool. The sun came out just as I was starting with them, so everything had to be put on hold while I added another cover to the windows of my studio. After that, I think things went pretty well. J. Family Sneak Peek

Today, I was scheduled to meet with a family of five. As I was standing there waiting, I saw TWO cars full of people pull into the driveway. And I thought, Oh My...I've never had that many people in my tiny studio. But, it went really well and I'm glad they came. I just hope they'll enjoy their photos as much as I did taking them. I only have time to show one image now. So, check back later for updates.

This little guy is only 2 months old. I love his chubby little cheeks and big brown eyes. And his hair - look at all that hair!! He's so cute :)

What good is Photoshop?

I like to keep my photos clean and as natural as I can. Beyond converting to a vintage color, or black and white, I try not to over edit my work. But, there are times that requests are made and I try to make it work. Photoshop is an amazing tool, and can really help when I need it.

She wanted a Black&White with selective coloring:

The volleyball had too much writing on it, and the request was to photoshop all the writing out.

I had a nice time meeting with this lovely little momma and her son. She called me before Christmas wanting a last minute Christmas photo session. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to meet with her. So, we planned a post-Christmas, Christmas session! These are my first favorites after quickly scanning through them today. Baby T. is very cute, if only a little camera shy. But, who can blame a sweet little 15 month old for that? (I definately need more practice with his age group.) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, Momma K.!

This little fella is just 10 days old today, and he did a great job at his first photoshoot. He's such a handsome little man; he's already a heartbreaker! I had a hard time picking my first shot for the sneak peek, but this one will definately do! I love the pictures with his Mommy and Daddy too. I had an awesome time with this high school senior. She's a great girl, and really photogenic which makes my job easy! I couldn't stop taking her picture. It took a few attempts to finally meet up with this pretty momma, but I'm so glad we did. This is my first favorite from our session. I have a real issue with photoshopped sunflare. I think if it wasn't there to begin with, you shouldn't add it. So, when I saw this happening today in my natural light studio, I was really happy. I think she looks beautiful, don't you?
